Hi, I’m Kevin. I’m a backend engineer based in Seattle. I spend most of my time working with distributed systems, databases, and the kind of infrastructure that nobody notices until it breaks.

This site is where I write down things I’ve learned, mostly so I can find them again later. If they happen to be useful to someone else, that’s a nice bonus.

Previously, I worked on data pipelines at a logistics startup and contributed to a couple of open-source monitoring tools. These days I’m interested in edge computing, SQLite, and making systems simpler rather than more complex.
